District 7620 Global Grant Scholarships
Global grants are for graduate students studying abroad in one of Rotary’s seven causes:
- Promoting peace
- Fighting disease
- Providing clean water, sanitation, and hygiene
- Saving mothers and children
- Supporting education
- Growing local economies
- Supporting the Environment
One scholarship for $30,000 will be awarded for one year.
APPLICATION PROCESS & TIMELINE
Rotary clubs can submit one nominee to the District for review and consideration to the Global Grants Scholarship Committee.
Typical Scholarship Timeline
- October 31: Students submit applications to Rotary Club
- November/December: Clubs review applications, interview applicants, and select their nominee
- December 31: Deadline for club nominations to district Global Grants Scholarship Committee
- February/March: Finalist interviews by District Global Grants Scholarship Committee
- March/April: Recipient selected and notified
- May/June: Recipient confirmation/acceptance finalized and Global Grant application submitted to RI
- August: Scholar begins studies
