District 7620 Global Grant Scholarships

Global grants are for graduate students studying abroad in one of Rotary’s seven causes:

  • Promoting peace
  • Fighting disease
  • Providing clean water, sanitation, and hygiene
  • Saving mothers and children
  • Supporting education
  • Growing local economies
  • Supporting the Environment

One scholarship for $30,000 will be awarded for one year. 

 

APPLICATION PROCESS & TIMELINE

Rotary clubs can submit one nominee to the District for review and consideration to the Global Grants Scholarship Committee. 

Typical Scholarship Timeline

  • October 31: Students submit applications to Rotary Club
  • November/December: Clubs review applications, interview applicants, and select their nominee
  • December 31: Deadline for club nominations to district Global Grants Scholarship Committee
  • February/March: Finalist interviews by District Global Grants Scholarship Committee
  • March/April: Recipient selected and notified
  • May/June: Recipient confirmation/acceptance finalized and Global Grant application submitted to RI
  • August: Scholar begins studies
